This place is amazing. I've tried 4 of their meats (Carnitas, Pastor, Lengua, Asada). Their carnitas are decently good (I like my carnitas crispier but I understand a lot of places make it differently), their Pastor is pretty good, but their Asada and Lengua are probably the best I've had from anywhere. Super smoky and meaty. The staff is really friendly too, and their agua frescas are really good. If I weren't in a rush I'd definitely dine in or at the outside tables. The location is pretty quiet and near a residential area so it's a good place to eat imo. Make sure to leave them a nice tip. Will be coming here regularly for sure.

I was coming from Los Gatos on my way to the SJ airport and needed to get takeout burritos. This place was convenient in terms of location and despite passing by it many times, had not tried it. On a Monday at lunch time, it was busy with people on their lunch break with both inside, outdoor, and take out options. Parking is free but limited. You can call ahead and for me, my two chicken burritos were ready in 10 minutes. They were ready when I arrived. They have two aguas frescas and common canned and bottled soft drinks. The service is quick and they accept card, tap and cash payments. The chicken in the burritos was slow cooked, not grilled, which I prefer because grilled chicken is often dried. The regular burritos were quite large and it had a good amount of meat. What surprised me was how spicy their green and red salsas were. No wonder they only give you two tiny containers of it! Don't get me wrong, they were both delicious but on the spicier end. My friend told me their menudo is delicious so I will be back!

Best Mexican food I've had in San Jose and I've been a resident here 20+ years. I stumbled upon this place while taking a detour from the gnarly rush hour traffic on San Carlos and when I spotted it I knew I had to come back by. I came back on my day off and ordered a taco plate with carne asada, pastor and chicken just to get an idea of which of thier meats were the best. I couldn't decide! They we're all amazing, and so flavorful and they definitely didn't skimp on portions. The tacos were stacked! The beans and rice were so good too, and thier chips and salsa were all made to impress for sure. 10/10 recommend......but you know....that's just like.....my opinion....man.

Hispanic from East Los Angeles here Tried all sorts of taqueria places recommended to me by locals and honestly.. they got nothing on this place! Lopez taqueria is one of the best taquerias is San Jose. NOPE - the Bay Area!

The food here is delicious and the price is hard to beat! The chips are made fresh and every morning you can see the smoke from the grill leaving the restaurant as they prep the meat for the day. When eating there and not take out, you get complimentary chips and salsa. I'll be honest, they aren't the best chips in salsa I've had, but that is just my opinion. They're free, I'm not complaining! The cashier clerks are always very friendly and work hard to keep the place clean and running smoothly. The inside has a couple rows of tables with seats but the outdoor seating is very cozy with plenty of barstool hightop tables and plenty of regular height seating all along Park Ave. I normally prefer to sit at the outside seating and enjoy the fresh air. One of my favorite new Mexican places. Never too busy, but always a steady stream of customers. I hope they stay in business a long time!

Upon recommendation from a friend, my family and I stopped by here to pick up lunch after a visit to the Children's Discovery Museum. What an amazing find! $13 super burritos; I truly can't say I know where else in the Bay Area that has super burritos that are still somewhat affordable. We ordered 2 super burritos with lengua and a large horchata to share. Lopez Taqueria is easy to get to with plenty of parking. With seats inside or outside, you can choose where you get to enjoy your meal. The burritos were delicious and filling, and I know I will for sure be back when I'm in the area! Friendly customer service was the icing on the cake. For a no-frills, inexpensive, but delicious meal - Lopez Taqueria is your spot!

Found out this is closer than the one we usually go to so we thought we'd see if it's as good. Turns out, yes, indeed it is! These burritos are sooo fresh and delicious. The meat is cooked perfectly and isn't super greasy. The guac is delicious, and dare I say better than our favorite location... it is. Staff are great. We split a burrito and forgot to ask for an extra basket. The staff was on top of it and brought one to us with the burritos. Thoughtful touches make the experience. Tooooons of seating - indoor and outdoor. The outdoor area was clean and pleasant. I'm pretty sure there was plenty of parking but tbh I was starving when we pulled in so I don't really remember. That's less important than the burritos slapping. Get one.

Came here on a late night taco run and was not disappointed! I shared a taco plate with my friend and it hit the spot. It came with 3 tacos, rice, and beans. The service was very friendly and I could tell it was popular as more people came in while we were eating. Definitely recommend this place for great food!
